Seminole Nation

Originated in Florida and areas nearby beginning in the 1700's.

In three wars with the Seminoles in  Fla,  1500 U.S.  soldiers died,  but there was  never  a surrender  thus theyare    known  as  Unconquered People.  The only Indian tribe never  to   sign   a  formal  peacetreaty with the U.S. During  these wars  they  moved into the Everglades.

Today,  they  have  sovereignty over  their  tribal  lands,  and an economy   based  on  tobacco, tourism, resort gambling casinos and many other enterprises.

Miccosukee Tribe

Migrated  to  Florida  beginning in the  1700's  forming  a major part of the  Seminole  tribe; they moved  into   Everglades  after Seminole  Wars.  During   this period   they  mixed heavily with the Seminoles, but  many  main-tained  their  own culture.

They separated  from Seminoles in 1950s to become  the Florida Miccosukee Tribe of Indians and were recognized   by the state of Florida in 1957. Today they have sovereignty over their tribal lands and an economy based on tourism,  resort  gamblnig casinos      and many other enterprises.

BOTH Tribes

Have many Casinos, exhilarating Live  Entertainment, Restaurants, Bars,  Hotel Rooms,  and  Night- clubs for your entertainment.
