I was first licensed as REALTOR in 1976 in Maryland. We moved to Florida in 1994 from Virginia, where I was with Century 21. In Florida I earned the MORTGAGE BROKER license, and now practice as both Realtor and Mortgage Broker.
I am assisted by a hard-working wife, DEANE HARKER, retired managing pharmacist. We have five children and nine grand children. I was born a "WEST (by God) VIRGINIAN" and Deane is "NORTH (Tar heel born and bred) CAROLINIAN". There are so many details (APPRAISING FINANCING INSPECTING MOVING etc. etc. etc.) involved when you are aquiring a new home. We really do make these important matters LESS STRESSFUL for you as OUR CLIENTS.

When you are my CLIENT, I adhere to a code of ethics in all my activities related to you as BUYER. The guiding light of ethics is "DO NO HARM TO YOUR CLIENT". When you are my client, you will feel safe and secure from others "HARMING" you in your home mortgage affairs. Beyond this, you may be confident that I will advance your interests so that you come out ahead.
As a member of the National Association of MORTGAGE BROKERS, I am bound by their CODE of ETHICS.
- The Mortgage Professional shall act in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
- The Mortgage Professional shall conduct business affairs with honor and integrity.
- The Mortgage Professional shall not offer or advertise terms or conditions that are not available.
- The Mortgage Professional shall abide by Federal Regulations promulgated by the Federal Trade Commission with regard to advertising.
- The Mortgage Professional shall abide by all agreements, written or oral made to the public.
- The mortgage Professional shall not speak disparagingly of the business practices of a competitor.
- The Mortgage Professional shall maintain separate accounts for the deposit of trust or escrow funds.
- The Mortgage Professional shall keep complete and accurate records of all mortgage transactions.
- The Mortgage Professional shall make representations in others areas of expertise only when duly licensed or accredited in that field.
- The Mortgage Professional shall become knowledgeable as to new and innovative mortgage financing alternatives by attending educational seminars.
- The Mortgage Professional shall not profess an opinion of title or warrant the legal ownership of property unless duly licensed or authorized to give this opinion or warranty.
- The Mortgage Professional shall keep all information acquired confidential unless release is authorized by the individuals in question.
- The Mortgage Professional shall not create, distribute or dispense any information that is known to be false, fraudulent or illegal.
- The Mortgage Professional shall comply with the By-Laws and Code of Ethics of FAMB.
- The Mortgage Professional shall promote and support the actions and positions of FAMB.
