A woman in Florida was struck by lightning after a severe thunderstorm had passed through. She went into the yard to check animals in a pen. When she got near pen gate, lightning stuck her, throwing her several feet. A neighbor immediately administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation but could not revive her and called 911. EMS personnel were unable to resuscitate her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
